[comp.sys.amiga] Another possible solution to moderation delays

karl@sugar.hackercorp.com (Karl Lehenbauer) (03/04/89)

Oh yeah, another possibility would be to have four or five moderators.

There would be one official moderator who would receive postings made directly
to comp.{sources,binaries}.amiga and three or four less official moderators
to whom submissions could be mailed for posting.

One advantage to this over my other posting is that, where the other solution
still requires the official moderator to see and dispatch every posting, this
one does not, so an overwhelmed or unavailable official moderator does not
stop the distribution of code.

It is assumed the moderators would communicate with each other via email.
People who sent stuff out would be expected to include in their message
whether or not they had sent it to anyone else so two moderators would not
test and submit the same code.
