Hello net, I have downloaded the MD memory diagnostic program and ran it of course. It was since then that I discovered that I had a failing bit in location 0x254ef. Whenever I write a 0x08 to that location I always read back a value of 0x00. 8^(. Seems I have a bad memory chip. Does anyone have experience in replacing a defective 256k1 dram chip. Can I take any XX41256-15 to replace it with? And how can I be sure that I am replacing the right one without having to use a scope. I've posted a simular article to comp.sys.amiga.tech, but haven't had any answer up to now. I would sure appreciate any help. thanks in advance, Wim Letzer. ===================================================================== All disclamers are sold.
