Hi all, I noticed a while ago that some people were selling their Hurricane 68020 boards for the 2620 board from CBM. Well I maybe to late but here it goes, Is there anyone out there still interested in selling their Hurricane board for the 2000. I would prefer one with the matching ram board if possible. Also what does the CBM 2620 board offer over the Hurricane besides thememory management unit. If you do have one of these boards for sale please send me your address via e-mail or call me at 1-902-542-9909(weekdays), or at 1-902-466-5345(weekends) ask to leave a message, people tend to forget things at these numbers. later Barry Comer

Well, it offers DMA into the on-board up-to-4-meg-of 32 bit RAM, so it will speed up DMA driven hard disks, whereas the Ronin with 32 bit memory will slow them down. And it was designed by some mega-cool guys l^). But unless you're after AMIX, it seems rather silly to trade a Ronin board in on an A2620. But it does qualify you for a free membership in the "Hazy Dave and his cat Iggy fan club". > later > Barry Comer -- Dave Haynie "The 32 Bit Guy" Commodore-Amiga "The Crew That Never Rests" {uunet|pyramid|rutgers}!cbmvax!daveh PLINK: D-DAVE H BIX: hazy Amiga -- It's not just a job, it's an obsession
