Is the serial port driver compatible with the recently posted CBM Multi-Serial
Specification? Will programs be able to use the serial port by just changing
the UNIT and possibly the DEVICE? Does the driver support ALL the features
of the "standard" serial device, so that program that use that device will
be able to run with no changes (save for the DEVICE and UNIT)? ASDG's boards
do this already, so anything less would clearly limit the board usefulness and
marketability.

Yes, we have the info from Commodore on the correct way to let the
user do access. Our device driver should work just the way it's supposed to.
I agree that doing anything else would hurt future sales by quite a bit, any
multiport device should be at least trying to follow the current standard
that's out now, and should allow updating to what the final standard ends
up being... Like ASDG, we use an 8530 for the serial ports, so there should
be no problem in handling all the baud rates we need to. The Appletalk port
is accessable via several utilities that come with board, and even more
functionality can be had by purchasing higher end software packages. If
there are software designers out their who would like to add Appletalk
support to their programs, they should call us for info and support.
