I need a few questions answered concerning the following hardware :
A500, Expansion Technologies TOOL BOX(3 amp), Microbotics HARDFRAME
A1000, Expansion Technologies TOOL BOX(3 amp), Microbotics HARDFRAME
Background information :
A group of amiga users are interested in buying hardisks for thier
amigas (500's and 1000's both). We've called Microbotics and
Expansion Technologies about putting thier two products together
to get the hardisks for our machines.
From Microbotics we were told that to thier knowledge no expansion
box for the A1000 and A500 currently on the market "works" with the
HARDFRAME card!!! They never mentioned testing the TOOL BOX when
we talked with them on the phone.
From Expansion Technologies we were told that the TOOL BOX works
with the HARDFRAME in inplant tests for both the A1000 and A500.
They also told us that from the feed back from people who have these
two products "married" that one individual could not get the A1000
with the TOOL BOX and HARDFRAME to work and one individual had NO
problems getting the two pieces of Hardware to work together!
I'm interested in any information on these products from people
on the network concerning how they work.
I would appreciate any and all information you could provide us with
We don't want to purchase products that don't work?! :)
