I know I went through this a few months ago, but something new has come up. Basically I had heard here on the net that with the 2500UX you could run AmigaDOS OR AMIX but not at the same time. I posted a message asking for confirmation and it was made by some one at cbmvax (sorry I don't remember who). But in the latest issue of Compute! [don't laugh. I have a gift subscription, I wouldn't pay for the rag] The Amiga column says that Commodore released a technical report on the 2500 and 2500UX, and they said that it would run AmigaDOS concurrently with AMIX. So someone is wrong somewhere. I tend to trust the programmers rather than the marketing bozes, But in this case I am kinda hoping the marketing bozes are right :-) If not, either a> Compute misinterpreted the facts b> Commodore marketing better get there facts straight before they give false 'press releases' and get all our hopes up for nothing :-( -- John Sparks // Amiga | {rutgers|uunet}!ukma!corpane!sparks \X/ UUCP | >> call D.I.S.K. @ 502/968-5401 thru 5406 << Death is nature's way of telling you to slow down.

The only way to run AmigaDOS and AMIX concurrently is to buy two Amigas. FTCI: The answer is no, you can't run both concurrently. -- Tom Limoncelli -- tlimonce@drunivac.Bitnet -- limonce@pilot.njin.net Drew University -- Madison, NJ -- 201-408-5389 Standard Disclaim er.
