I have a BBS program I have been working on, and have noticed the debate going on over multi-port cards. My software (though written only in BASIC) has the capability to support multible users simultaneously, although right now I only can use two (SER: and CON:) for I/O. My question is, do the multi-port cards have device names. For example, can I open a channel to a device like AUXSER1: and AUXSER2: to address ports on a card? If so, my program should work when finished because you can specify device names. I'd appreciate any input on how these newfangled cards are accessed. Also, if I wanted to send a letter to Max Toy, to what USnail address would I send it? Thanks all. ==================================================================== Bob Richardson | "An Apple a Day?
