I recently purchased both of these packages, used, from someone who had evidently bought one-of-everything and found these particular items to of somewhat less use in his business. I tried the demos that were on the disks themselves, though as one might expect, have not yet tried to read the manual. Following the pseudo-guru suggestions they provided (re not nuff chip ram to run the program... close everything down, move the icons to the workbench screen and try again), I WAS able to get the player program on both of them to work on my 2-drive 1000 with the 2 meg external ram. On the Productions disk, dated somewhere around 2/88, I noticed the example (actually maybe its on the arts disk) called MishMash and indeed it is. Has anyone any knowledge of any PD productions floating around the networks for either Deluxe Video or Deluxe Productions??? Maybe the manuals are suitable, and then again maybe not, but I'd certainly like to see more than one example before deciding to spend precious time working with something. There are 5 (6?) examples on Deluxe Video, and they show a little imagination, even including music (prolly a Deluxe Music Const. player program), but the Deluxe Productions which costs nearly twice as much has a "blaaaaaatzzzzzz" as the final and only sound in the (MishMash) demo. Not too impressive. Or do I shelve both, chalk em up to experience and rely on the Director (which I swore someday I'd learn to use)? Rob Peck
