Hello, all. Here are three short questions. If anyone knows the answer
to any of these, please email me a response. Thank you.
1. On the Amiga 1000, when you first turn on the computer and upon reboot,
is there some sound that the computer makes? In general, how is the
screen display/sound on an Amiga 1000 at bootup different than the
A500 or A2000? I know, of course, that the 1000 uses a disk for
Kickstart, but being a fairly new A2000 owner, I have never seen an
Amiga 1000.(*Gasp!*)
2. On Amigas in general, are there any secrets in the chips? I.E. Are
there developer names or something else hidden in ROM somewhere? I
saw a program for a certain fruit company's computer that displayed a
black and white graphic of the original developers/programmers of that
computer. I was under the impression that this picture was in the
ROMs.
3. On Amigas, is there any PD program that will stop the incessant
clicking from an empty drive? Preferably, this program would silence
the drive, but also recognize a disk inserted. I know the
non-commercial program TurboBackup does something like this. I want
a program that will quiet the drive, but allow use of it if a disk is
inserted.
Thank you for any answers, and please email them.
