My father purchased an Escort2 20 meg hard drive for his A1000 about a year ago and has been having problems with the disk getting corrupted. The result of the problem is that clicking on the hard drive icon in the workbench (1.2) results in a window displaying the following error message: Error validating disk Harddrive Key 21566 - bad header Subsequently another message saying to use the diskdoctor to repare the disk is displayed, However he was told by someone that the diskdoctor cannot be used here. As a result of these problems he has had to reformat his disk and restore several times. Any input on what is going on and how it might be fixed would be appreciated. (Sorry if some of the information here is not quite complete. I am not familiar with the Amiga and my father is not familiar with computer terminology so there might have been some communication gap.) -- Fred Hart -- FRED C.
