[comp.sys.amiga] Is there an upgrade policy for Express Paint

miller@intvax.UUCP (Dave Miller) (03/29/89)

I currently have Express Paint version 2.2.13 and would like to upgrade
to version 3.0. I am a registered owner (although I sent my card in
about 3 months after purchasing it). I haven't seen any ads or
received any notices about upgrading. Is there a way to upgrade?
Could someone please answer this question who is in the know?

Also, I have a question about using Express Paint.
Although I haven't experimented with it that much yet,
I've found that alot of the examples on the Extras
disk will not load, but rather give the message - Not Enough memory,
Try a Smaller Screen Size, even though the example may only have a
screen size of 640 x 400. I have an A2000 with 3Meg, and this message
occurs even if I'm only running WorkBench 1.3 and nothing else.
I do have a fairly large fonts: directory and was wondering if this
might cause the problem. I don't want to have to boot directly from
the Express Paint disk because I have a hard disk.
Any thoughts on this would also be appreciated.

I think Express Paint will eventually become one of my most used
programs. That's why I'd like to start out really learning it at
the 3.0 level.

                                               Thanks!
