Hello, this is a request for the file structures of FF1. I have seen a message on that topic about a year ago, but I wasn't owner of FF1 at that time. Just three questions: 1. What do the numbers in the driver lines of #?.ses mean? (this is from memory, maybe I forgot some of the trailing numbers): NN G.Berger Austria X C AAA YYY ZZZZZZ NN is the driver number; X ??? C is the colour of the car (range 0..7 due to dual playfield mode); AAA ??? seems to be some sort of driver's ability with 500 being very good and smaller numbers worse; YYY ??? (always the same for each driver) ZZZZZZ ??? (always the same for each driver) 2. Any hints on the file format of the tracks (the .tkb4 files I guess)? Would be nice to add some other courses... Obviously the screen is divided into two parts. The upper part is the 360-deg-panorama of the course which jumps a bit vertically according to the coarseness of the track and is moved horizontally with the view direction. The lower part is a perspective sight of the road which seems to be generic and parametrized by a course's sequence of bends. On top of that is the car's cockpit (obviously done with dual playfield mode). These two parts should be recognizable in the track file?! 3. What do the numbers in the track lines in #?.ses mean (the lines with ff1:rio or the like in it) ? Thanks for your help. Please reply by E-Mail to conserve net bandwidth, as I don't think this topic is of general interest. If it is, I'll summarize to the net on request. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thomas Tensi, Institut fuer Informatik, Technische Univ.
