[comp.sys.amiga] Blue Screen at Cold Boot

First, I am posting this to Comp.sys.amiga and comp.sys.amiga.tech because I
am not sure where I should post it. If it shouldn't be posted to both . . .
Sorry.

Recently my Amiga began flashing a BLUE (sometimes red) screen before the
Workbench prompt after a cold boot. I have read somewhere (I think here)
that this is the result of an automatic self-test that is performed every
time you boot. Along with this the article states that RED means BAD ROM
and BLUE means BAD CUSTOM CHIPS. :-(

My system still works, but seems to GURU more often now. Does anyone
know if this is a self-test problem or if it is something else?

My system configuration is an Amiga 500, A501, and an A1020 5 1/4" drive.
Could any of this be causing the colors ?
