This is being posted for a friend... if Scott Turner is still
reading c.s.a. or anyone else feels qualified to help Glenn out of
his dilemma, feel free.

This is the mountable MicroForge driver that I mentioned. Several
people wanted
it so here it is...
Two notes:
1. It's a generic 4 parallel port SCSI host adapter device driver.
Those of you
with a yen to hack TTL gates could cook up an interface for $20 -
$30 to use
with this driver.
2. It includes notes on making a DF1: partition for use with
DiskCopy...

and now Glenn's reply/query....
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scott,
I recently tried to set up a 40MB MicroForge system with the
scottdisk.device I found on Fred Fish Disk #84. The instructions
never made it to the FF disk, but from the ASM source included, I
tried it out. No matter what I did, the HD always hung up the
system
on the first access of the drive. I tried going back to the
source,
and configuring it for the 40MB drive, re-assembling it, but it
still
hung. I was hoping (if this reaches you) that you may have an
updated
version, and/or docs that you could send to help me install your
driver
so that the FFS could be used with the MicroForge. I can be
contacted
at Express-Way Software (314) 474-2984 and would appreciate ($$$)
any
help you may be able to give. I don't have access to USENET, but
someone
else was nice enough to volunteer to send this for me.
    Thanks, Glenn Nielsen
