Just saw a PBS special on computer graphics called "Computer Dreams" this evening. Very interesting show. Lots of excerpts from animation by different companies (Pixar, DEC, Evans & Sutherland, and even Apple [Boo!]), but very little technical details. Too bad Commodore didn't have an entry. Actually, that Apple animation was pretty cute, but nothing spectacular. Parts of "Red's Dream" and "Luxor Jr." were also shown (too bad they didn't show "Tin Toy." 8(. Opps, guess I'm straying a little far. Anyway, they also talked a little about the increased capabilities of microcomputers to do these type of stuff, and guess which computer they showed? 8) An artist from Disney worked on some animation stuff on the Amiga (no, they didn't put a sticker over the Commodore log), and they noted that the artist now works at home rather than commute to work. Shots of several games from Cinemaware were also shown (again, with the Amiga logo barely visible). Too bad nowhere did they announce the name "Amiga." -- Yuan Chang "What can go wrong, did" UUCP: {uunet, ucbvax, dcdwest}!ucsd!nosc!uhccux!yuan ARPA: uhccux!yuan@nosc.MIL "Wouldn't you like to INTERNET: yuan@uhccux.uhcc.Hawaii.Edu be an _A_m_i_g_o_i_d too?!?"
