Does Prolog (preferably C-Prolog) exist on the Amiga? If so, where can I get it? -- //Another Julius Andrew Cisek jac423@leah.albany.edu \X/ Amiga Box 199, 325 Western Ave. jac423@rachel.albany.edu Maniac Albany, NY 12203 spcfan@ai.ai.mit.edu

I have been using the prolog to do my work in my AI class and have found it quite good. However you may have a problem with it because it uses up about 1 meg of memory. I have 2.5 meg of memory, and with this much memory I can have Prolog up and running along with Emacs, vt100, shell, and other toys. This makes for a very pleasent environment. > >-- > //Another Julius Andrew Cisek jac423@leah.albany.edu >\X/ Amiga Box 199, 325 Western Ave. jac423@rachel.albany.edu > Maniac Albany, NY 12203 spcfan@ai.ai.mit.edu Erik Johannes erikj@unmvax.cs.unm.edu

Sorry, but that's Stony Brook Prolog (SB-Prolog), not C Prolog. I plan bring SB-Prolog up to date (S. K. Debray has been busy making improvements since Scott and I did the last port) as soon as: 1) I get a hard drive (Uncle Sam is going to be good to me this year) 2) I stop working 50+ hour weeks. >You can get these by ftp'ing to trantor.umd.edu [128.8.10.14] or >uxe.cso.uiuc.edu [128.174.5.54]. I have 2.5 SB-Prolog requests two rather large contiguous chunks of memory. It is preferable to start it up shortly after booting. If not, your memory may be too fragmented for SB-Prolog to run. >> //Another Julius Andrew Cisek jac423@leah.albany.edu > Erik Johannes > erikj@unmvax.cs.unm.edu David Roch lapin@ihuxy.att.com or ...!att!ihuxy!lapin (312) 979-0531

Last week some time, someone posted (I think) some instructions on how to allow SBProlog (a la Fish Disks 140, 141) to run on an Amiga with only 1 meg of RAM. Could some sweet soul *please* e-mail a copy of that to me? Pretty please? I've just gotten my hands (*finally!*) on a copy of the disks, printed out a metric tonne (mild hyperbole) of docs and gone over the source code, only to find that it won't work currently on my Amiga 500, having only the single disk drive and A501 expansion. *sigh* Many thanks in advance! =============================================================================== __ __ Brian A.
