[comp.sys.amiga] New roms for 2090

Is it possible to get new roms for 2090 controllers to make them
into 2090A's? If so, where?

Can't be done. There is no place to put the ROMs. The 2090 was
designed before the autoboot architecture (well before), and the 2090A
is a modified 2090 that can accept the roms (large modifications).

You could put the ROM's somewhere else in the computer... I got a 'product
preview' of the A2090B at the Hannover Fair, and it is a half-size card
with the auto-boot ROM's. Rumours say that a third-party developer has
made a 'daughter-board' that could be put on the A2090, but that's nothing
more than a rumour. The A2090B seems better anyway, since the daughter-
board probably will make the A2090 take up more than one slot.

Anyone knowing anything about price and availability?
