Ok. Here's some more questions and comments. I'm currently learning lisp on a VMS system here. I have recently downloaded from a local BBS the Xlisp v2.0 package and it seems very similar to common VMS lisp. My question is this: Is there a newer or better PD lisp language out there? If not, would anyone know if Xlisp is considered a worthwhile Amiga language? My professor here has written an environment he calls Vlisp. It has a good editor and several commands for loading, saving, EDITING, and listing functions. I might be able to get it to run under Xlisp or some similar lisp language, and I have his blessing for releasing it. I just want to be sure that when/if I do release it that it will be packaged with a popular/good/useful Lisp environment that is up to date and debugged. If I get it to work, it will VASTLY improve the Lisp work area. If you feel response is not worthy of a public posting, please email me. I will forward mail to my professor if you'd like to discuss anything with him. He is our Lisp Guru and he definately knows what he is doing with AI, neural networks, etc. The environment would be a boon to Amiga AI work, that's for sure.
