In BYTE's April grahics supplement, they mention that the Amiga's "smaller market share has led to a smaller library of programs." What do they mean by this? I was under the impression that raytracing software for the Amiga has been around far longer and in greater numbers than on Macs and IBMs. Granted, this part of the article was talking about hardware mainly, but why didn't they mention the fairly wide variety of raytrace and 3D rendering software available on the Amiga? This is an application that has only recently (last few years...since the Amiga hit the scene :-) been possible on personal computers and before that required far more expensive hardware. (They could have used the Jan/Feb 89 issue of INFO for a list/reviews of Amiga raytrace/render software. The April/May issue talks about 3D animation and the related software for the Amiga.) I realize that this would be far too specific and biased toward the Amiga, not to mention so very un-BYTEish! :-), but they coulda said something... and that CGA screenshot from an Amiga Bridgeboard...that's just filthy!
