The never-ending journey of hard drive installation. I just acquired a Micropolis hard drive, ST506, full-height, and I am currently waiting for my 2090A from the local dealer. A have a A2000, and would like to either install this internally, which is not possible, correct??? or externally. I am concerned with setting it up externally because of the need for an additional power supply and fan, plus a storage box for the hard drive. You ask, why would I get a full-height hard drive, reason, it was for free and I certainly can't beat that price. The Micropolis hard drive is a 42meg, full-height drive. What I would like is some information on how to install a full-height drive and anyone's experience with installing such a beast. If externally is the only way that I can mount the drive, I can live with that, but where would I get the extra parts necessary to make this hard drive work. I have just the drive, no cables, or connectors. Will I need any with the 2090A controller, I am sure I do, but what and where can I get it. I am semi-capable of small hardware hacks, but I would like to keep this to a minimum. Hopefully, someone can lend me a hand, so I can finally get my A2000 running the way I want. Any help or comments, would greatly be appreciated, if anyone is interested in the information gathered, I will forward all the information that I collect. =-=- dvb \_/ Dave Blaszyk Eastman Kodak Systems Engineer .....rochester!kodak!elmgate!dvb (use uuhosts or such to find path to rochester)
