After many exhausting hours researching this question, I am still at
quite a loss of what my options are... If anyone could please send me
mail regarding this I would be very grateful.
Several months ago I purchased an Amiga 500 and am look for the
correct hardware to run IBM Compatible Hard Drives (Shugart ST506).
I am in a position to purchase these type of drives at near to cost and
would prefer them over SCSI type drives.
Now, seeing that I own an Amiga 500 (sans expansion slots), can
anyone give me any recommendations on the equipment I would need?
(Slot Expanders, Drive Controllers, Power Supplies)?
Surely there are some people in the Amiga world with these types of
drives on their Amiga. IF so, I would be ever so grateful for so much
as a drop of info.
If everyone tends to think that SCSI is the way to go, what are
some reliable vendors that offer such drives (cheap); what differences
in hardware are necessary?
Thanks in Advance... Dean
