Has anyone tried using a grey scale multisync monitor (for instance the NEC Multisync GS) with the Flicker Fixer? I've seen NEC's Multisync GS advertised between $189 and $220. Since I don't have a lot of money, and I use my monitor mostly for text, I figured that this would be perfect for me. I also figured that I could still have my 1080 hooked up for use with games, animation, or anything else that needed color. So, does anyone know of any reason it wouldn't work? Also, does anyone know how it determines the shade of grey to display? Does it combine the R,G, and B inputs to determine how bright it be? (ie. various colors would appear to be the same shade) Or does it scale two of the inputs and then add the three together to give the equivalence of 12 bit "resolution"? Or perhaps it just uses one of the inputs and ignores the rest? Thanks for any help. Rich Champeaux Clemson University
