Can anyone recommend a good PD tek4010/4014 emulator? I've tried Diga which is not PD, and Tek4010 from FF52. Diga does not handle Tek graphics properly, and I can't get Tek4010 to remain running long enough to figure out what it's problem is. It either locks up or Gurus at just about anything I do. Stack is set to 100000. I can't figure out how to set character length, etc. & Tek4010 doesn't appear to listen to what Preferences says. I don't need any file transfer capability or vt100 emulation. Actually, what I would really like is a Dnet Fterm with tek4010 graphics emulation so's I can pop up a window to display decent graphics output from the Sun while running Dnet. Nothing else. (Anyone working on this perchance?) Alternately, I thought Plotview (ff165) might do the job - copy the output to the Amiga & plot there, but I can't get my hands on Plotview. uxe.cso.uiuc.edu doesn't seem to have it in their ff165 directory either. First of all, thanks to all who responded to my request about PD Tek Emulators. I received quite a few responses. Except for one, every suggestion for a PD Tek emulator was to use VLT. I got it & it looks great. I have also recommended it to a couple of others. The one response that wasn't suggesting VLT was for exactly what I wanted in the first place - a Tek Fterm for Dnet. So despite VLT looking great, FTEK is it: 1) don't have to turn off Dnet. 2) The executable is small - about 19k. 3) even with a 1028 * 720 resolution Tek screen, it only soaks up about 135000 bytes. That's my kinda of emulator. Much nicer when you are running a 1 Meg A500 w/ floppies. Lets me keep my environment intact. BTW, is anyone collecting other Dnet clients/servers?
