If you stick a non-DOS disk in df1: (for example) and type DIR df1: with either AmigaDOS 1.x or ARP 1.3 you get a Requestor informing you that that ain't no DOS disk. Click on CANCEL. AmigaDOS DIR exits with a return code of 20 (and a message like "not a valid DOS disk" followed by the return code). ARP 1.3 DIR exits with a return code less that WARN (=5) (and the remarkable message "dF1: not found"). I used ARP IF to estimate the return code of ARP DIR so if IF is screwed up the estimation of the return code of ARP DIR is questionable. But is ARP IF is screwed up, who cares what the return codes are? Are any ARP people listening? They apparently haven't been anytime I've posted ARP bugs in the past. To judge from the latest release anyway. -- "Our vision is to speed up time, eventually eliminating it." -- Alex Schure Charles Cleveland Georgia Tech School of Physics Atlanta, GA 30332-0430 UUCP: ...!gatech!gtss!chas INTERNET: chas@gtss.gatech.edu
