[comp.sys.amiga] 68010 -- Is it worth it?

1.  For those who desire some hard numbers:

   a.  Hard disk performance -- with CLtd controller, performance increased
       14-17% with the 68010.
   b.  RAM: performance increased 35-70% -- a significant and non-trivial
       amount.  If you compile, de-arc, de-zoo, or do anything else that
       writes to RAM:, whether or not the actual application sees a 68010
       speedup, you WILL see a significant speed increase from the OS.
   c.  Reads from RAM: hardly sped up at all...... <1%.  Just writes...

2.  For $20, a 68010 is not a bad investment....especilly if you've got
    lots of ram and use it.
