The "status" command distributed with ARP 1.3 appears to have a small bug when "status full" is used. It incorrectly reports the stack size of its own CLI. Try: stack 15000 status full I get a stack size of 4000 reported. CBM's C:Status works fine. -- # Dan Barrett barrett@cs.jhu.edu (128.220.13.4) ARPANET # # ins_adjb@jhuvms.bitnet BITNET # # ins_adjb@jhunix.UUCP UUCP (unreliable) # # Dept. of Computer Science, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD 21218 #

It's a feature of ARP and AShell. AShell uses ARP's own function for running programs and that function recognizes if the program is an ARP program (Status is of course that) and allocates just as much stack as the program wants. Status wants 4000 bytes - and 4000 bytes is what it gets. Try the same sequence from a CLI (started with NewCLI) and status will report 15000 bytes for its own CLI, just as the C= status will. To everybody: Please don't post all this bug reports to the net before you know the bugs are real. Before posting anyting - talk to the authors of the software or their technical support. If they confirm it's a bug, then tell the world. You can of course report problems, but please don't call it bugs. - Gunnar SNAIL: Gunnar Nordmark VOICE: (+46) 8 - 755 42 52 Nora strand 5 S-182 34 DANDERYD EMAIL: gno@stacken.kth.se SWEDEN gno@SESTAK.BITNET "Words, words, words."
