1989 North American Amiga Developers Conference
		Hosted by Commodore International

We've come a long way, Amigans! Four years ago at the Developers
Conference in Monterey, many of you had your initial opportunity
to learn about the inner workings of the Amiga, that marvelous
new computer. Since that time, both the hardware and software
have evolved to be more sophisticated, more powerful and more
enticing. Subsequent Developers Conferences have given you the
opportunity to continue to learn about these changes from the
people responsible for them. The 1989 North American Developers
Conference is another chance to do just that. As we move into
Amiga's fifth year we know there is more yet to do to realize all
the dreams first shared in Monterey. Devcon, and its focus on
Version 1.4 of the Amiga Operating system, is the next step on
the way.

This year's conference is being held at the Holiday Inn Golden
Gateway in central San Francisco. Conveniently located for access
to all this great city's attractions, the Holiday Inn provides us
with the best of facilities in an informal setting to host a
highly productive conference.

			Conference Sessions

Following the plan used in Washington, D.C. during the 1988
conference, we will be running concurrent sessions: software
development, hardware compatibility and marketing/business.
General interest sessions will not be concurrent, and will be
scheduled as group sessions. Some of the topics being planned

Ok kids! Pull up a chair ans listen up. Following closely on the
tail of the first anniversary of the last K*nt Paul Dolan
psychotic episode, we now have the _SPOT THE ARTICLE_ contest.

Rules: We have below an article recently posted by a Portal-ette.
The objective is simple. See if you can find the one line of text from the
Portal-ette, buried in the 40 odd lines of included text.

Send your entries to cs@cup.portal.COM

Oh how clever.

I had been wondering what happened to "the man from Xanth" but had been afraid
to ask out of fear that doing so might somehow cause him to start posting
again. How is the little wacko flamer, anyway?

Richard,
Now I ask you, which is worse. Him doing something silly like including
the ENTIRE message so he could enter one line. Or you including the entire
thing ALL OVER AGAIN!! Notice that I did not include the above mentioned
article. :> :>

I thought that's what 'inews' was supposed to prevent.

He's currently working for the company that produces the Harvard
Graphics package for the PC. I know this because a friend of mine also
works there, and has the ignominious privilege of working with him.

The $300 registration fee for DevCon this year....does this mean it is
$300 per person or is that $300 per company for registration??

Makes a big difference ... :-)

It was unclear in the information we received from CBM in the mail...

Fee schedule is per person. It is the same fee schedule used last year.
