OOPS! In a message a few days ago, I posted that the 1.3 PCD script had quit working once I'd installed ARP 1.3. I fool so feelish! I had installed all of ARP 1.3 but ASH. Something in the combination of ARP 1.3 and the Commodore shell was causing the problem. I've finally edited out the "Resident CLI L:Shell-Seg SYSTEM pure add" line from my Startup-sequence, and replaced all the "Resident" commands with "Ares". (One quirk here though, all the "pure" keywords in the stock Startup- Sequences have to go. Ares can act on multiple files on one line, and tries to add "pure" to the Ares list. On the second occurance of the "pure" keyword, Ares aborts with a "Pure already resident" error.) Anyway, now that I'm running ASH with a ARP (as God and Cheath intended :-) the PCD script works just fine. So far it seems about 50% of the ARP 1.3 "bugs" are really a case of RTFM. Here's to the speedy release of the entire ARP docs. (Though I'm glad that the 1.3 release wasn't held up for the man pages.) -- Blaine Gardner @ Evans & Sutherland 580 Arapeen Drive, SLC, Utah 84108 Here: utah-cs!esunix!blgardne {ucbvax, allegra, decvax}!decwrl!esunix!blgardne "Nobody will ever need more than 64K."
