I have a Rev 3 and a Rev 4 A2088 Bridgeboard. I also have a Microsoft Mach-20 80286 speedup card. When installed with the Rev 3 board the board boots up but won't boot from A:. it also refuses to think that there is more than 256 K installed. The Rev 4 board does nothing bar display some garbage characters. Does the Rev 3's BIOS have 4.77 Mhz specific timings for accessing A:. Also any suggests as to why it hangs the Rev 4 board. The Mach 20 needs the 8088 removed and has a cable that goes into the chips socket. Finally can I replace the board's Crystal to increase the speed about 4.77Mhz P.S. Why did Commodore design a 4.77 Mhz A0288 and not an 8 or 10 Mhz version with an 8086 rather than 8088. Now that would be something :-)

[ Information on problems w/Microsoft Mach-20 card and XT Bridge removed ]
In the area of Amiga/XT speed up, the April 89 Amiga Sentry claims that
the "PC Elevator" and "AST accelerator" both work. I have some 'hands on'
with the "PC Elevator" and it does work, the "AST" board ive never seen.
However all speed up boards ive tried that require you to pop the 8088
fail.....
Sneakers (Who uses a 286 Bridge and no longer has these problems ;-)
