[comp.sys.amiga] May 1989 BADGE Meeting

thad@cup.portal.com (Thad P Floryan) (05/16/89)

                         MAY 1989 BADGE MEETING

The May 1989 BADGE (Bay Area Amiga Developers' GroupE) meeting will be
held Thursday, May 18, 1989, in the Turing Auditorium of the Jordan Quad
on the Stanford University campus.

Among the featured speakers and topics are:

  * Dave Navas, demo'ing and discussing the MULTI-TASKING WORKBENCH.

  * Pete Goodeve, with an IPC UPDATE (and details about how he produces
                those GREAT slides!)

Dave will be out of town during June (the DevCon), so if you want to be the
first kid on your block to see the Multi-Tasking Workbench, be SURE to attend
the BADGE meeting! :-)

BADGE meetings begin at 8:00 PM though the room may be available by 7:45 PM.
For those arriving early, please hold your discussions away from the room to
avoid disturbing classes in session.

The June BADGE meeting is still "open" regarding speaker(s) and topic(s).
The normally-scheduled date is smack dab during the middle of DevCon '89.

I'm tentatively planning on asking one of the local hard disk drive repair
companies to speak at the July meeting; experience has shown that these HD
talks generate so much interest that the meetings exceed the allotted time.

Please let me know your thoughts about these (this) and other subjects for
future BADGE meetings.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
To get to BADGE, take the Bayshore Freeway (Route 101) to the University Ave
exit. Proceed west on University Ave past El Camino Real onto the Stanford
campus. Proceed straight until Campus drive and turn right. Follow Campus
Drive until Panama Street, and take a left. Park in the first parking lot on
your left (about a block down.) Turing Auditorium flanks Polya Hall; detailed
maps available on request.

The Bay Area Amiga Developers' GroupE (BADGE) is an organization of serious
hardware and software developers for the Amiga computer. The charter is to
promote and facilitate the development of new Amiga products by providing a
forum for communication between developers. BADGE meets the third Thursday
every month at Turing Auditorium in the Jordan Quad at Stanford University.
