[comp.sys.amiga] Parts is Parts

carpent@coltrane.SRC.Honeywell.COM (Todd Carpenter) (05/09/89)

A friend owns a M*c][. He noticed on nis net that the going price for a 16MHz
68851 is $349. I felt that was outrageous. Those of you building the Lucas -
do any of you remember if you can get the '851, where, and how much?

Note: I always thought the M*c][ was 25MHz. It is only 16 MHz. No wonder my
A2620 seems so much faster.

Thanks!

You might try Hamilton-Avnet to see of Motorola is still offering their
68020 design kit. That came with 68020, '881, '851, 4k (?) of fast
static RAM, and all the manuals (all 16MHz parts). You could get the
whole pot for about $325 at one time.

I bought the Hamilton-Avnet kit when I built my Lucas board, so I have a
spare 68851 to sell. If anyone is interested, please make me an offer!
