I'm having a problem booting up a game called Elite on my Amiga2000 with 3Megs of RAM in it. When I insert and boot from the game disk, the title screen comes up and then goes on to an enter-the-word-from-the-manual protection screen that will NOT recognize any keys pressed on the keyboard. None of the regular keys on the keyboard will be echoed on the screen and the LED in the CAPS LOCK key will not light up at all. Its as if the game will not accept input from the keyboard. Now, this Elite game is a British PAL version and not for NTSC video. So, the bottom part of the startup screen is lost. But, is that also the reason that the software won't talk to the keyboard? My Amiga is a regular NTSC video type system. Does anyone know if this is another case of differences in timing for the Amiga2000's keyboard and the way the program has been written? I remember seeing something about the British versions of Barbarian would not work with some types of Amiga keyboards. Is this game of Elite for the Amiga having the same problems as those earlier games that wouldn't work with the different keyboards? Anyone out there have experience with the British PAL version of Elite and could help me with my problem?
