We are aware that higher transfer rates are theoretically possible, but not
at our price/performance ratio - we could make faster units, but could not
possibly sell them for $199US.
We are working on getting greater throughput later, however our aim is to
provide a cost effective solution NOW - and such backups are non-attended,
unlike floppy based backups. We can note that these times are comparable
to doing backups to a floppy, WITHOUT THE HASSLE OR COST OF MANY FLOPPIES,
swapping them, and not requiring constant attention.

Thank you for your input/concerns, as you raised valid points, however
there is a cost/benefit advantage to an affordable setup - one that can
backup while one sleeps or goes to work.

RSI started marketing the WEDGE to allow AMIGA users an inexpensive
alternative to the hard drives on the market. That same concept has now
been applied to EASY STREAMER thanks to Jim Brooks of WEDGE-TECH.

This product will work ANY hard drive.

Sorry if its too commercial... (line eater please :-)

More importantly, it gives you something to do with that free VCR you
got when you bought your A500! :-).

These opinions are my own and no one elses, but you knew that didn't you.
