[comp.sys.amiga] Second Boing! Award

papa@pollux.usc.edu (Marco Papa) (04/22/89)

It's that time of year. The 1989 North American Amiga Developers Conference
is ready to go and as with the 1988 DevCon I am now taking votes for the:

	"SECOND comp.sys.amiga{.tech} Boing!" Award

The Award is for the person that in your opinion contributed the most in
properly responding to technical and non technical questions, but that also
provided a good dose of sarcasm and wit in his/her postings. [Smiling
faces :-) DO count]

At the end of this posting you can find a form that you can use to select
your favourite candidate for the award.

You can vote for anyone of the CATS/C-A/CBM people you see often on these
groups. You should consider ONLY the contributions made during the past year.
There is a limit of 1 vote per person, and the last day in which I will
accept votes will be May 20, 1989. That will give me time to set up the
plaque for the winner. As usual with these things, CATS/C-A/CBM people
are excluded from the voting. Past winners (in this instance Dave Haynie)
can still be voted again.

As with the past DevCon, I'll be organizing the USENET DevCon get-together.
The meeting could be held on Thursday or Friday between the end of the
Conference Sessions (6PM) and before the two evening receptions. The form
down here allows you to select a "Preference" day, if you are interested in
attending the meeting.

BTW, I'd like to get in contact with Steven Litvintchouk, whose contribution
made last year's get-together real fun. Steve, all my mail to you bounced.
If you read this, please reply and let me know how I can reach you.

Send those votes in.

I have some prime advice for those that want to make a quick buck... ***

Start a company that takes downrev software, label it as a PD disk
and sell it for ten times the cost! You'd make a killing!

Do I win?

Just a few more days to cast your vote for the "Second comp.sys.amiga{.tech}
Boing! Award". Casting your vote is as simple as typing 'R' (the letter R
in CAPS) if using 'rn' and filling in the blanks. Please limit the votes
to CATS/C-A/CBM personnel. Thank you.
