Okay folks, is there any way to guarantee (as in, like, a hardware block) write protection on an ST506 (aside from leaving the machine unplugged, off, unmounted, etc. Geesh, you people!) ? Sure the 1.3 LOCK exists, but supposedly one can subvert that. A2090a disk controller, ST506 Rodime Hard drive. Todd C.
