[comp.sys.amiga] MicroEmacs & Snipit

dwl10@uts.amdahl.com (Dave Lowrey) (05/25/89)

I am still tyring to decide which of the 100+ editors avaliable
for the Amiga I like the best. My current editor is the latest version
of MicroEmacs (I don't remember the release number).

So far, all is going well, except for one small problem: I "snip" some
text with Snipit. The text can be either within an emacs window, or
anywhere else. I then want to have that text inputed to an emacs
window. No Can Do. MicroEmacs insists that that text is MicroEmacs
commands, and issues appropriate error msgs. All other emacs that I have
tried (mg & the the 1.3 memacs) will input the text into the current
window, at the current point.

Is there a way to get this to work properly? So far, I really like
microemacs, and I would hate to have to give it up for such a small
problem.

Lexicon -- another word for thesaurus.

(I've been meaning to send you this message for a VERY long time :-)
