[comp.sys.amiga] FATTER AGNUS APPEARS...

marki@tahoe.unr.edu (Mark N. Iverson) (05/27/89)

Hope this isn't old news, but...

I work part-time at a computer store in town [owned by the founder of
'Checkpoint', the local Amiga user's group] that sells amigas, aratis
and PEE CEE clones. Got into work yesterday, sat down in the back
to eat lunch while the tech was preparing an A2500 that just arrived.
I noticed an AT bridgeboard box, said "SO, hows the AT bbrd compare?"
He said, "OK, like an 8Mhz AT; BTW this machine has FATTER AGNUS!"

Really? [me]
Yep, take a look at that piece of paper. [tech]

I pick up a single sheet of paper that came with the A2500 that states
something to the effect... [not a quote cuz I don't have it with me]

"This machine is equipped with the new Fatter Agnus chip that allows
 1 megabyte of chip memory..."

WOW; are you SURE this is it? [me]

It has a different part number than the spares I have here. [tech]
