Quiz of the day: Who knows what the algorithmic difference between DPaint's LOW antialiasing and HIGH antialiasing is? On an aside, one can crash workbench quite pyrotechnically doing the following: Kickstart 1.2 A1000 w/ 2.5 MBytes Boot off DPaintIII disk. Put art disk in DF1: and open ALL the windows. move them around so as to cause great deals of slice/dice. Start DPaintIII. Reopen the WB, then go into DPaint and CLOSE it. TIME how long it takes to close the windows (watch the pointer). Open it again, then close it again. Click on the screen-to-back to put WB up front. Click on WB screen about 2 seconds before it closes. ZZZZZZIIIIINNNNNGGGG! Usually I get a Task Held, but a couple of times it looks like it trashed the copper lists, leaving me to neck-pinch 3 times before bombing back to the kickstart requester. I have not been able to duplicate this under KS1.3, but then I haven't really tried very often. It is certainly EASIER to do under KS1.2, and it seems like the WB closes about 15% faster under KS1.3, but that may be the exact arrangement of windows not being duplicated. Is it true that nothing changed between KS1.2 and KS1.3 except autoboot capability? If so, what moved to make room? Or was there enough room already?
