Well I have tried every suggested path to kilowatt and all but one gives me
'host unknown'.
host unkown:
archive-server%kilowatt@sun.com
archive-server@kilowatt.sun.com
archive-server@kilowatt
archive-server@sun.com!kilowatt
We have a smart mailer that understands '@' so that was not the problem.
*********************
The only way I got through was with this path:
uunet!sun.com!kilowatt!archive-server
**********************
also: uunet!sun.com!kilowatt!archive!server comes back with user unknown
The help file that kilowatt sends back to you will show the path to send to
it as:
archive-server%kilowatt@sun.com
archive-server@kilowatt.sun.com
Neither will work for me. I use the direct path I have given above.
I hope this helps those that also have had difficulty reaching kilowatt.

In article <735@corpane.UUCP> sparks@corpane.UUCP I write: >also: uunet!sun.com!kilowatt!archive!server comes back with user unknown sorry, I meant that: uunet!sun.com!kilowatt!server comes back with user unknown. I was referring to a previous message that stated that you could send to kilowatt!archive-server *OR* kilowatt!server But they are NOT equivalent. The !server is an unknown user to kilowatt. -- John Sparks | {rutgers|uunet}!ukma!corpane!sparks | D.I.S.K. 24hrs 1200bps [not for RHF] | sparks@corpane.UUCP | 502/968-5401 thru -5406 When everyone is out to get you, Paranoid is just good thinking. --Johnny Fever
