[comp.sys.amiga] Possible bug in ARP file requester

ewilts%Janus.MRC.AdhocNet.CA@cornellc.cit.cornell.edu (Ed Wilts - CandianOxy) (06/05/89)

I have noticed a peculiarity in the 1.3 ARP file requester. The scenario is as
follows:
I have 8 files in RAM: labelled m.1 through m.8 plus the usual
        directories (clipboards, t, env).

I use HandShake v2.12a to request a file to be transmitted and select
drive RAM:. The files appear in reverse sorted order (m.8 through
m.2) in the requester. In order to get to m.1 I must use the scroll
bar. As soon as I do that, the files are re-sorted and placed in the
correct order (thereby scrolling m.1 off the top). Hence I must scroll
again. This time I can select the file.

This appears to be either a bug or an inconsistency as to when the file list is
sorted. This will happen with either HandShake or Spritz (both using the ARP
file requester).

It would be appreciated if somebody could post this to BIX for the ARP team's
action.

  Thanks.
