Since I started downloading binaries from comp.binaries.amiga I haven't had much succes. When I unpack the zoo-archive in UNIX (I do have an Amiga-version but I haven't been able to download it...) everything is allright, but when I have downloaded the several files using Kermit, I always get the error message 'File is not a object module'. On both Amiga and UNIX-side I did 'set file type binary'. Does anybody know whether the problem is in using Kermit (should I use another program ?) or am I doing something wrong ????? I'd rather have an answer by email, but when you use the net it's fine by me too. Many thanks in advance... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | | It's not that I'm afraid to die. There are over a dozen different implementations of the Kermit protocol running on the Amiga. Murphy's Law says they are imperfect and all have different quirks. Which version of which program were you running on your Amiga, and which version of Kermit on the other end? -- Joe Smith (408)922-6220 | SMTP: JMS@F74.TYMNET.COM or jms@tymix.tymnet.com McDonnell Douglas FSCO | UUCP: ...!{ames,pyramid}!oliveb!tymix!tardis!jms PO Box 49019, MS-D21 | PDP-10 support: My car's license plate is "POPJ P," San Jose, CA 95161-9019 | narrator.device: "I didn't say that, my Amiga did!"
