I'm in the market for an Amiga 40 to 80-ish hard drive. I have severe
space limitations on the right side of my A1000 (stereo-video equipment is
there), so anything that works with a cable and can sit on top (I have the
monitor elevated separately, so no problem there) is best. A friend suggests
that EDSI is better than SCSI (any comments). My budget, as usual is limited.
Suggestions, leads, comments appreciated. Sorry if this has been dis-
cussed to death recently, but I've been away for 3 months and it will take
WEEKS to catch up on all the newsfeeds ...
I think I can come up with ca $400-$800 but might be able to stretch it
if there's something really worthwhile that is available.
Oh, a slight problem; I have an Amiga Live! which uses the expansion
port and so a pass-through drive would really be better, but I don't want to
compromise too much on the drive to get this, since I'm DESPERATE for hard
drive space (have been developing on this beast for 3 years without it--very
painful). Thanks in advance LadyHawke@cup.portal.com
(No quick buck artists here, please. If I buy through a stranger, I'll
expect you to have the integrity to provide a written guarantee that it's
in excellent working order--applies to second-hand drives, especially.
I know lots of people are upgrading to bigger drives and selling the
smaller ones to finance it.)
