I recently purchased DpaintIII, and being inexperienced with the Dpaint trilogy, was a little more than disappointed to find that it is limited to IFF images. I then vaguely recalled having seen the 'Load ILBM-Save ACBM', 'Load ACBM', and 'Save ILBM' demos in the AmigaBasics drawer of my Extras disk. Woe and behold, when I tried to load a HAM image, it bombed. The line which creates the second screen was aluded to as being the problem by the rubber band box. 'Time to haul out the paper' I thought as I reached toward my manuals. As far as I can tell, it has no reason not to work. But it doesn't. Theory would say that I can also reverse the process if I can get a WORKING example, but would prefer to have such a program that was written in C, not a flavor of basic. I also have yet to see a prog. that will convert GIF to anything else and back. I profess to know better than to say 'it cannot be had'. I hope I'm right. Anyone have programs such as these, or know where I can get them? Thanks in advance. ================================================================================ Opinions? Ummm...I filed them somewhere...can I get back to you on that? Well it seem that an images.library is really needed:-).I just go a hold of some GIF documentation and wouldnt mind add it to the library. C? why not ASM?....
