I think the time has come to clarify a couple of details about the structure of Commodore. It's all public knowledge, but I think a few people are not aware of these things. First, the "collective" Commodore, (the whole organization) is Commodore International Limited (CIL). I do not work for CIL. However, the people in CATS do. I work for Commodore Business Machines, Inc (CBM) which is the U.S. marketing and sales organization. The reason I am clarifying this, is because when I make statements about "we" or "all," I will be speaking of CBM and not CIL. So for those in other countries who sent mail to me regarding my mention of programs such as the A1000 to A2000 upgrade offer which they had not heard of, I apologize for not clarifying that this offer was in the U.S., and apparently not in other Commodore companies (countries). I will make every effort to specify when things I mention are only correct for the U.S. But if I forget, please excuse me :-). This has been a public service announcement :-) Paul.
