Back when a few people were talking about having seagate problems, i mentioned to the net that I had a ST157N and that it was working just fine..... well if you'll excuse me for a moment I'll eat my bytes.... CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP.... After leaving my ST157N powered up non stop for over 2 months, i turned it and my entire system off due to a MAJOR league lightening display directly over the city... (sorry, but $100.00 power protecters aren't going to cover your ass against a direct hit.) I tried to turn the drive and system on this morning.... no annoying whine from the drive... guess what, the damn spindle lock problem.... and of course i'd saved the instructions on how to recover from the situation (Well done Thad,,,) BUT THEY'RE ON THE F***ING HARD DRIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Duh, I be brain dead yuh....) please, someone, anyone.... email me the recovery instructions ASAP to BOTH my following Email addresses , as this bitnet site will be off the net for the weekend, as a upstream feed gets a new system. (Gawd a Quantum is starting to look damn good right about now...) thanks.. JpC -------------------------------------------------------------------- Jonathan P.
