[comp.sys.amiga] Help me with Journey

wizard@accsys.UUCP (Christoph Brand) (06/24/89)

I've bought the great new Infocom-Adventure Journey. It's
great, unlike many other adventures it's more like reading a book,
a real interactive story, just lean back and enjoy. Of course you
*have* to think, there are lots of problems to solve. I really like
it; no more try-and-die methods, and a real fluent gameplay.
However, I got stuck (did I say anything about fluent gameplay?)
The gate in the dwarven caverns won't open; also I don't see how
to mine the essences in the mine below the mill, and what's that
strange device in the control room of that mine? And, maybe most
important...how to get out of there???
Pleeeeze help me!

>The gate in the dwarven caverns won't open;
Is this the gate with the writing above it? Your reading it backwards.

You need to learn how to use the control device. Have you found the
pick? Play with the device until you do. Do your mining then use the
device to get out. It may take quite a bit of experimenting with the
device to find the right combination.
