When I went to try the patch recently posted I found the copy of MandelVroom I have has a 1E at sector 221 offset 0A1 (not 1F). Changing it to 0F did indeed fix the mutual exclusion bits of the menu pick for 020/881 mode though. Wonderful program, great for playing with Mandelbrots, or just showing off Amigas. If I can ever figure out what I'm doing when I occasionally get it hanging my system I'll send a report to Kevin. It's tricky though when multiple things are going on at once. -- Hugh D. Huh? What patch? My site never got any patch for MandelVroom. If someone
has a copy, could they mail it to me (or is the above patch all it entails)?

My site never got any patch for MandelVroom. The mutex fix was already incorporated in the posting that went to the binaries and sources groups. If you got mandelvroom from Usenet, you don't need the patch. If you got it from a fish disk, you need the patch. No patch was posted to the sources/binaries groups (not from me anyway). ..bob
