youngb@pur-ee.UUCP (H. Bret Young) (07/13/89)
I am posting this for a friend who does not have the news groups yet. Please reply directly to him. Bret ARPA: youngb@eg.ecn.purdue.edu UUCP: youngb@pur-ee.uucp ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am running VLT 4.036 (Fish Disk #226 from uihub.cs.uiuc.edu) and I have the following problem. Whenever it (VLT) tries to do a Beep, I get a requestor saying "Script - REXX ... can't find/create port". I have the volume set to 0 (should be a visual beep), and I have tried a non-zero number. No difference. I would like to know if this is me, do I need ARexx, like I needed ARP (I had it already), to get this thing to use its full capabilities? I am using a custom screen, non-interlace, 8 colors, color rendering, and everything else the defaults. Please point me in the right direction, if I need ARexx, I can get it, but I don't want to get it if I don't have to to fix this problem. Thanks, Bob Beaty (beaty@ducvax.auburn.edu)
