Subject: Re: 60 Hz on PAL (50 Hz) Amigas Using software to switch from NTSC frequencies to PAL frequencies is such a great idea, maybe Commodore will think about supporting that feature in the Enhanced Chip Set. Maybe they've already done that. I have heard that the new chip set will have new options for genlocks. We will be able to tell the genlock to be transparent based on a separate bit plane (instead of when color 0 is being output by the Amiga). I'd like to know if this means it will handle 7 bit planes; 6 for HAM or EHB and the 7th for genlock. -- Joe Smith (408)922-6220 | SMTP: JMS@F74.TYMNET.COM or jms@tymix.tymnet.com McDonnell Douglas FSCO | UUCP: ...!{ames,pyramid}!oliveb!tymix!tardis!jms PO Box 49019, MS-D21 | PDP-10 support: My car's license plate is "POPJ P," San Jose, CA 95161-9019 | narrator.device: "I didn't say that, my Amiga did!"
