Hello. I am looking for some information concerning "Kermit" type software for the amiga. My brother is off to school in the fall and will need to operate his amiga (a 1000 1st yr edition) as a terminal to a host computer. There will also be a need to transfer documents between the amiga and host. can anyone please help me out? At least point me in the right direction?~ Thanks in advance, troyb Please E-mail me @ : UUCP: uunet!unhd!psc90!troyb ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------- | "Does anybody here remember | | Vera Lynn? I suggest you try Oxxi's Atalk3 terminal program, I cant list all the features here but I can tell you that they are extensive to say the least. I am on the CBM VAX at this moment in Atalk3 using it's VT-100 and have no gripes at all. The times berfore I had Atalk I used Online! and was nothing but frustrated by the bugs and layout. I dont think you can go wrong with Atalk3 for a couple reasons, First the Author is on usenet and loves to be bashed about:-), And second it's one of the least expensive terminals available for the Amiga and in my opinion the one with the best features and use. Marco, Just mail it to me ok? VT100 is a terminal emulator that also supports kermit file transfers. I use it all the time. There are a couple of other freely distributable emulators that support kermit. You can get these from your local Amiga group, send for a fish disk, etc. There are also very stron commercial programs that support Kermit. Ask your dealer, if he is any good, or call one of the big outfits that advertise in the magazines. Be ready to pay $100 or so.

I know Online! has a kermit routine and I assume that Atalk or JrComm (??) has one also.
